Module · Zakat Engine

The only ERP that
actually computes zakat.

Odoo stops at e-invoicing. Local tools hand you an Excel template. ILORA reads your ledger and builds the full zakat base — Saudi ZATCA rules or classical fiqh method — with every step referenced and audit-ready.

Zakat Engine

01The Problem

How companies do zakat today

An Excel sheet, once a year, in a panic

The accountant rebuilds the zakat base by hand from trial balances. One missed account and the base is wrong — nobody would ever know.

“ZATCA-approved” means invoicing, not zakat

Every competitor's badge covers e-invoicing and VAT only. The actual zakat return — the 120-day deadline that blocks your government contracts — is still manual.

No trail when the examiner comes

Three years later an assessor asks how you got that number. The spreadsheet has been edited forty times since.

02The Fix

What you get

01

Two calculation engines

Saudi ZATCA sources-method (Regulation 1007/1445 incl. base min/max limits and estimated-basis payers) — plus the classical fiqh net-assets method with gold nisab for Egypt, Libya and everywhere else.

02

Chart-of-accounts zakat mapping

Every balance-sheet account classified as addition, deduction or excluded — auto-suggested, human-confirmed, and incomplete mapping blocks finalization.

03

Zakat adjustments layer

Provisions, entertainment expenses, undocumented costs — recorded outside the ledger to reach adjusted net profit without touching your books.

04

Immutable calculation snapshots

Every run is versioned and frozen with each account, each article reference, each applied limit. Reproducible years later, line by line.

05

Provision entry in one click

Dr zakat expense / Cr zakat provision at year-end — respecting your period locks.

06

Scholar-review methodology page

A printable in-system document explaining every formula and flagging every fiqh choice — built to be reviewed by religious authorities.

03FAQ

Questions, answered

Does it work outside Saudi Arabia?
Yes — that's the point. Saudi organizations get the statutory ZATCA sources method; Egypt, Libya and every other market get the classical fiqh net-zakatable-assets method with a gold-based nisab check. You choose the country; the engine applies the right rules.
Does it file the return with ZATCA automatically?
No system can — ZATCA has no public API for zakat returns. ILORA prepares every number the portal form asks for, then tracks your filing, payment and certificate expiry with reminders.
Is the 2.5777% rate a mistake?
No — it's the day-prorated rate for a 365-day Gregorian year (2.5% × 365 ÷ 354), exactly as Article 15 of the Saudi regulation prescribes. Hijri years get the flat 2.5%.
Is this a fatwa?
No. It's a calculation and documentation engine with every methodological choice disclosed — including a printable methodology document designed for review by scholars. Final decisions stay with your accountant and religious reference.
